How to Use Exfoliating Scrub and Facial Mask for Sensitive Skin

Getting a facial at a spa can be expensive and you never know if the skin care they use will be beneficial or irritating to your sensitive skin. If you have visited a spa and liked the experience of a facial, you can follow the same steps for an at-home facial with your favorite sensitive skin exfoliantand mask that you know will not irritate your skin.

You'll need the following:

  • Exfoliating gentle scrub
  • Facial mask, preferably with Kaolin clay and dead sea mud
  • Moisturizer for your skin type
  • Anti-aging eye gel or eye cream for sensitive skin to help minimize fine lines
  • Soft towels
  • Optional: candles and soft music
Step 1:
Start by applying the sensitive skin exfoliating scrub. The purpose of the exfoliant is to remove surface dead cells. This helps specially well for aging skin, dry and acne prone skin. As dead cells accumulate, they tend to cause clogged pores, making your skin appear dull and unhealthy. Use an exfoliating scrub that is gentle, preferably with fine pumice. You can even use the sensitive skin exfoliant daily or as needed. Apply to your skin and rinse off.

Step 2:
Follow with a sensitive skin facial mask
with Kaolin clay and dead sea mud. These ingredients are full of vitally needed skin nutrients. After applying it, either take a shower to allow the steam to absorb the sensitive skin facial mask deep into your skin, or use an at-home steamer. Rinse and pat dry.

Step 3:
Use an eye repair gel with sodium hyaluronate or eye cream to help with under eye circles or fine lines.

Step 4:
Finish by applying a sensitive skin moisturizer
for your skin type.
